Note di degustazione
The 2001 Pignan Chateauneuf du Pape reveals a deep color along with an enticing nose of black cherries, prunes, figs, and resiny pine needles. There is good sweetness on the attack, medium body, excellent depth, and firm tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2015. Like most Chateauneuf du Pape domaines, I did not see anything while tasting through the 2002 reds that would suggest they could be recommended in this publication. Medium red. Exotic aromas of strawberry, gingerbread, orange peel, dried flowers and leather. Juicy, spicy and exotic, with enticing peppery lift. An elegant, tangy Chateauneuf with a silky texture and lovely inner-mouth energy. Finishes with very fine tannins.

Bright red fruits and smoke on the liqueur-like nose. Dense but juicy, with mint and spice notes contributing to the impression of freshness. Not especially fat but possesses lovely fruit. Finishes firm, long and juicy.
Informazioni sul produttore

Ch. Rayas is a cult name in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wines – pure, silken expressions of Grenache with distinctive perfume – are revered for their singularity and fiercely collected. Made by Emmanuel Reynaud and renowned for their ageability, they have become some of the region's most sought-after.
