Very dark with some evolution at the rim. Damp fur nose but by no means unpleasant. A bit raw and tart. Hint of black cherries. Some saw similarities with Pinotage! (JR)
A one-dimensional wine with lots of fruit and soft tannins in an easily understood, up-front style, without much depth or intensity, this 2006 should be drunk over the next 5-7 years.
Deep crimson. A little hollow and soulless. Dry end. Not luscious. Slightly dry and dusty, and lots of underripe tannin! Hard work. (JR)

Named after its founder, Bernard Beauregard, this property is one of few Pomerol addresses to have an actual château – here a stately 18th-century construction designed by the man behind Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre.
