The 2010 Château D'Arce is beautiful, with a classy, mature style in its ripe red and black fruits, truffly earth, tobacco, and mineral-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a layered mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and outstanding length. It’s a brilliant Castillon that would do just fine in a blind lineup of top Saint-Emilion. Drink 2025-2035.

Pale to medium lemon-gold colored, the 2010 D'Arche offers up intense notes of lemon meringue pie, pineapple tart and dried mango with touches of allspice and crushed rocks. The palate has appealing freshness cutting through the ripe, rich flavors, finishing pleasantly minerally.
Tasted blind. Really tangy intense bitter citrus-peel aroma. A little bit spirity on the nose and slightly sour overall, a bit harsh but fresh enough. (JH)
