Good bright cherry-red. Pure but less flamboyant aromas of raspberry, cherry and spice, complicated by briary and torrefaction notes; less dominated today by aromas of new oak. Fat and minerally in the mouth, with enticing hints of mocha and coffee. Shows lovely sweetness of fruit, despite the fact that all of the Dujac '98s finished their fermentations with less than one gram per liter residual sugar. Very tightly wrapped. The fine tannins spread out on the aftertaste, which is characterized by a late hint of spearmint.
