Punteggio 72/100 · Da bere 2018, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 1984 Brane-Cantenac saw the Cabernet Sauvignon picked October 3–15 after a rain-drenched September. It has a dry, dusty bouquet bereft of fruit or much interest. The palate is light-bodied, hollow and thin, with a mean, dusty finish. Henri Lurton mentioned that the 1984 tasted better in its youth, but clearly that was a long time ago. This is a decrepit wine that is for necrophiliacs only. Tasted at the Brane-Cantenac vertical at the château .

Punteggio 73/100 · Da bere 1989, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

The 1984 is light to medium ruby-colored, very spicy and herbaceous, but fruity, soft, and ideal for near-term drinking. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 11/89.
