70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep purplish crimson. Red fruit and elderberry and a sort of wild fragrance. Lovely chew and freshness on the palate, less polite but more energetic. Vibrant and so alive. The tannins dense but supple. Long and fresh. Delicious even though it is not markedly concentrated. A wine with mineral and flowers with hints of dark fruits. Full body, with chewy tannins and a medium finish. This is an estate I am watching for the future. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
The 2011 has a well balanced, clean, fresh nose with vibrant cassis and blueberry fruit. The palate is ripe and rounded with good acidity, chewy tannins and fine weight on the crisp, albeit predictable finish. Not bad at all. Tasted April 2012. Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com
