Attractive scented Margaux nose. Light and delicate – not to say a little powdery and green on the end, but attractive silkiness. (Average group score: 14.3) (JR)

Slightly dull crimson. Well-mannered nose. Not intense but quite sweet with some freshness. Ripe, round, unforced. A very easy drink for the short to medium term, No aggressive tannins. Very supple and well managed. Not overdone. Margaux certainly. But not one of the most powerful 2003s. Subtle (JR)
Clean and very pretty with plum, currant and light smoke aromas. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and beautiful fruit. Give this time. Delicious and well made. Best after 2008. 10,000 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2006

Historically Château Labégorce was one of the largest estates in the Médoc. It was originally owned by the Grosse family (or Gorce – hence the name) whose ownership dates back to the 14th century.
