Punteggio 91+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2013

Bright medium red. Tangy raspberry aroma lifted by a hint of peppery acidity and a suggestion of white fruits. Precise and piercing, with brisk acidity and strong minerality currently dominating underlying red fruits and flowers. Wonderfully fresh and long but in need of some time in bottle. "Two thousand ten is great if you like minerality, the truth and freshness," noted winemaker Francois Millet. A splendid village wine with a future.

The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny is fantastic. It boasts incredible aromatic complexity, gorgeous textural finesse and seemingly endless layers of fruit. Suave yet firm tannins support the fruit through to the highly attractive, delineated finish. This is a great way to start a survey of the domaine's 2010s.

Deep, bright red. Sexy aromas of ripe red fruits and flowers accented by white pepper and wild herbs. Rich but taut, even a bit youthfully imploded, with strong mineral energy giving definition to the very pure fruit and floral flavors. Suave but serious village wine with excellent balance.

Very sinewy and energetic. Bone-dry finish and even a bit austere on the palate. But very much in the de Vogüé style. Bitter cherries on the front palate. Bracing finish. Impressive persistence suggests this may have a great future. (JR)
