Note di degustazione
Another gem of a wine from this fabulous vintage, the 2005 Clos Badon Thunevin offers up a great nose of darker currant and cherry fruits as well as some chocolate, graphite, and smoky, truffly nuances. Medium to full-bodied, with fine tannins and remarkable balance, it’s drinking brilliantly today yet should evolve gracefully over the coming decade.

A strong effort from Jean-Luc Thunevin, Clos Badon’s 2005 displays plenty of cassis fruit, black cherries, licorice and underbrush. It is full-bodied, approachable and opulent, nicely textured, pure, long and fruit-driven. This is a big wine (larger-framed than usual) and best drunk over the next 12-15+ years.
Bright ruby-red. Expressive nose offers black raspberry, licorice and minerals. Concentrated and suave, with noteworthy breadth and cut to its rather understated dark fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes with ripe, fairly fine-grained tannins and very good length and grip. (ST)
