Note di degustazione
Moderately saturated medium red. Red fruits, rose petal, minerals and a hint of resiny oak on the nose. Juicy, tightly wound and high-pitched, with an intriguing floral/mineral character. Finishes quite firm, with mounting tannins. This needs a good five or six years, whereas the Vosne village wines should evolve a bit faster.

Good medium red. Reticent nose hints at fresh herbs. Less fruity and plump than the Vosne premier crus, but more serious and minerally, with firm structure. This seems more typical of the vintage, with less obvious sweetness and pliancy of texture.
Cask sample. Still quite a bit of oak on the nose, with a hint of cheese! Quite gassy. At a transitional phase, surely? Very substantial and meaty – almost meat extract. Lots of fruit on the front palate. Grainy. Correct, though far from seductive. (JR)
