Note di degustazione
A decidedly a virile side of Chambolle-Musigny emerges from the 2011 Les Chatelots. Dark red and blue-toned fruits, crushed rocks, smoke and violets are shaped by firm, incisive tannins in an imposing, full-bodied Chambolle long on personality. The 2011 is going to need a few years in bottle for the tannins to integrate, but all the elements are in the right place. Savory herbs and a hint of tobacco add the final layers of complexity.

Bright medium red. Black cherry, cocoa powder and good mineral tension on the very reticent nose. Juicy, spicy and fine-grained, with a saline complexity to the flavors of raspberry, minerals, flowers and spices. Peppery in a refreshing way. The stylish finish offers lovely subtle aromatic persistence.
