Note di degustazione
The 2003 Grenache Old Vines Romas Vineyard is, like the Blewitt Springs tasted alongside, eminently dark fruited. This is brooding and yet fresh, with salted licorice and cracked fennel seeds to close. The tannins are profuse and resinous, black in their countenance and so good. I like the unapologetic nature of this vintage. It makes a statement. Sealed under natural cork, poured from magnum.

My favorite of the flight. Packed with dark cherry, raspberries and dark fruits. Rich and full bodied with a great long finish.
Dark ruby with a purple rim. Superripe scents of licorice, espresso, raspberry liqueur, strawberry preserves, mocha and licorice candy. This is remarkably supple and round on the palate, with plush, sweet red berry notes that are reminiscent of ripe, high-class pinot noir. Silky-smooth and lush on the finish, the tannins barely noticeable.
