Always an exuberant, richly fruity wine that shows classic Bordeaux hallmarks, this blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has plenty of black fruits, truffle, graphite and licorice as well as sweet tannins in a medium-bodied, richly fruity, glycerin-endowed style that makes for a very seductive wine meant to be drunk over the next 7-8 years. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc.
Very parcellated indeed! Owner is a Belgian biologis Dr Gaëtan Lagneaux. Sweet, lightly toasty, easy nose. Slightly liqueur-like on the palate so that it is not one of the most piercing, minerally wines of this appellation, but it's a flattering drink and should be very good value. (JR)
