2001 Chambolle Musigny

(Lachaux's second vintage of this village wine, from three parcels of 44-year-old vines purchased from Bernard Amiot in 1999) Bright red. Nose dominated by cherry and raspberry. Juicy, spicy and penetrating; ripe but less fat and sweet than the last couple of samples. A drier-styled wine with firm acids and a deeply spicy character.
