Note di degustazione
A brilliant wine from Gazin Rocquencourt, the 2005 has an inky purple color and a classic nose of graphite, black fruits, charcoal and spice. The wine is full-bodied and beautifully textured, with velvety tannin and superb concentration and purity. This is possibly the best Gazin Rocquencourt I have ever tasted. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.

Bursting with ripe cassis but fresh rather than overly sweet. Very fine texture, elegant, aromatic mid palate. Delicious subtlety and verve, neat fine tannins. (JH) One of 56 Pessac-Léognan reds that were tasted blind in London for Decanter magazine in July 2008.
Delicately exotic black fruits, hint of vanilla and spice oak, very fine-grained tannins, almost silky already. Moderate length. Elegant. (JH)
