2010 Sanctus

Floral raspberry notes with hints of crushed chalk, mocha and oak are slow to emerge from this relatively tightly-knit, closed-down St. Emilion, which was made from a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. The wine may possibly have more potential than my score would indicate, but for now is medium-bodied, tannic, backward and in need of further aging. Forget it for 4-5 years and drink over the following 15.
