Smudgy crimson. Fruity and a bit simple. Sweet and easy and a wine that would be easy to appreciate at the cool temperature that is habitual on a plane. But objectively not a great wine. (JR)
Very sweet and classy and reined in. Not exactly Pomerol like, but a valid, refreshing take on Pomerol. (JR)
Looks a bit mature at the rim. Sweet and rich and velvety on the nose. Most alluring! Should fly very well – a slightly gamey note. Pretty evolved so would need to be flown relatively early for a 2004 but very charming and unctuous for low temperatures even if perhaps not as fresh as some for drinking on the ground. Maybe very slightly over oaked? (JR)
