The winery's second wine, the 1999 Alter Ego reflects its bigger sibling's terroir, power, and grandeur. It is a blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, a seductive, charming offering with wonderful suppleness, a textured mouth-feel, and gorgeous levels of red and black fruits. It should drink well during its first 8-10 years of life.
