Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Very ripe but slightly diffuse aromas of plum and mocha. Lush and seamless on the palate, but showing a bit more freshness and energy than the Moreys. Plump wild herb and milk chocolate flavors carry through on the ripely tannic, persistent finish. Hail in June cut yields here.

The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée Bertin(named after Lignier's son) is a nicely chiseled, articulate wine laced with silky fruit and precise aromatics. This finishes with lovely floral lift and impressive overall balance.
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvee Bertin (named after Lignier’s son) is a nicely chiseled, articulate wine laced with silky fruit and precise aromatics. This finishes with lovely floral lift and impressive overall balance. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. Virgile Lignier’s 2009s show notable intensity and ripeness, but also preserve quite a bit of freshness through the use of whole clusters, which reach as much as 100% in two wines. The Bourgogne and Chambolle were bottled in December 2010. I tasted all of the other wines from tank. Bottling was scheduled for the end of March 2011. Redcurrant and floral, some aniseed notes and a brush of tannin on the finish. Lovely Gevrey perfume. (RH)
