Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2000-2025, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2021

60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Bianco. ‘Spring began later than usual in Chianti Classico. The whole growing season was delayed, including a late veraison due to a cool summer. However thanks to optimal conditions during the last stages of maturation, we harvested good quality fruit with a great sugar/acid balance.’ Harvest 7–14 September. Smells like an old house somehow. Round and mellow texture on the palate with real drive and freshness. Hint of lime. Long. (JR)

Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 1998-2020, Walter Speller, jancisrobinson.com, Jul 2012

60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Bianco. Brilliant straw with a golden tinge. Sweet butterscotch and lemon curd, quite rich but not too opulent. Baked apple and spice. Captivating! Nutty lemon with integrated, pink grapefruit-like acidity. Great texture and zest. Ends a touch warm. Long. (WS)
