Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2017-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016

Dark red with a hint of ruby. Tighter and deeper on the nose than the Les Saint-Georges, showing brooding dark fruit aromas. Seriously concentrated, dense, saline wine with a restrained sweetness and terrific inner-mouth lift to its red berry and spice flavors. More powerfully structured than the Saint-Georges and long and subtle on the finish, with the strong but fine-grained tannins extending the fruit. This wine still needs time in a carafe.

Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2014-2018, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2014

The 2002 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Gaudichots has an attractive floral bouquet, violets and iris, then later hints of bacon fat and terracotta. Perhaps there is a touch of brett here, but nothing to get too worried about. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. There is plenty of wild strawberry and raspberry, nicely judged acidity, gentle and placid in the mouth, with a saline finish. It declines a little with continued aeration, hence my score comes down from the low 90s to settle in the high 80s. Drink now-2018. Tasted May 2014.

Dee p ruby-red. Subdued aromas of cassis, bitter chocolate, licorice and mint. Tightly wound and oaky; more backward and less pliant than the Saint-Georges, and showing less early ripeness of fruit. Finishes distinctly harder and more tannic. I'd give this bottling at least seven or eight years.

Bright, deep red. Complex aromas of cherry, raspberry, smoke, gunflint, chocolate and flowers; conveys a strong impression of terroir Silky on entry, then tight and vibrant in the middle, with noteworthy energy and nuance. The very fresh, firm finish is lifted by peppery spices. More elegant than the 2001 version, with more inner-mouth aromatic character and finer tannins.
