In principle, this is the luxury cuvee from the vineyards of Haut-Bergey. The spectacular 2000 Branon is one of the exceptional efforts of Pessac-Leognan, and the 2001 is outstanding. Aromas of melted licorice, smoke, crushed stones, truffles, and black currants are followed by an elegant, medium to full-bodied, pure, dense wine with no hard edges. This small Pessac-Léognan estate has been owned by the Garcin family since 1996. Today the wine comes from just 0.8 hectares of the oldest vines, all farmed biodynamically, producing a vibrant and pure style of Bordeaux that ages beautifully.
