2009 Grands Echezeaux

(from purchased wine; no vendange entier Good red-ruby. Captivating aromas of black raspberry, crushed rock and cocoa powder, lifted by a floral treble note. Utterly silky on entry, then velvety and suave in the middle, with perfectly integrated acidity. Refined, scented and very ripe, not to mention concentrated, with a lovely sugar/acid balance giving the wine noteworthy finesse. Finishes tactile, sappy and savory, with terrific chewy persistence.
