Violet aromatics, heading towards jasmine, reflecting fully ripe fruits and the sandy-gravel soils that saw some concentration in the berries. It's ready to being drinking, with attractive loganberry and raspberry puree, along with campfire smoke and sweet liquorice. Just tasting the 2009 of this pair, as there is no 2009 left at the château.

Bright dark crimson. Purple rim. Perfumed. Very smooth texture and ambitious but a slight lack of fruit and interest in the middle. Bit of a civil servant of a wine. Diplomatic rather than full of character. (JR)
Still rather tightly knit, this biodynamically farmed vineyard from Alain Moueix exhibits sweet red and black currant fruit, some loamy soil undertones, licorice and a distinctive minerality, elegance and purity. It is tightly knit at present and seems to have closed down post-bottling. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to like in this wine and it certainly has the potential to merit an outstanding score after 2-4 years of bottle aging. It should drink well for 15-20 years.
