Good medium red. Aromas and flavors of sour cherry, redcurrant and musky underbrush. Juicy and tight in the mouth, with a slightly herbal quality counterpointed by an attractive touch of sweetness. Finishes with dusty tannins and a slight leanness.
Bright full red. Sexy, penetrating aromas of red berries, minerals, flowers and a whiff of game bird. Sweet, rich and firmly built, showing an attractively supple texture to the flavors of redcurrant, minerals and menthol. Boasts good size for a village wine but also delivers precision and energy. Finishes with a solid spine of tannins. Nicolas Potel bought six parcels of vines in 2011, and three of them went into this village wine. Very promising.
