Note di degustazione
(from the north side of the village; Fourrier sold off his fruit from the lieu-dit Echezeaux at the opposite end of the village because of hail damage) Deep red-ruby. Vibrant nose combines raspberry, cassis and violet. Superrich and ripe, with cassis, violet and chocolate flavors. There's something almost cabernet-like about this very impressive village wine. Here, too, the dusty tannins hit the palate very late.

(a cuvee from the south side of the appellation, in this vintage blending Aux Echezeaux and Jouise) Bright red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of raspberry and currant; fresher than the Clos Solon. Dense and sweet but juicy and rather elegant for 2003, with a flavor of raspberry and good lift in the mouth. "A wine ideal to serve with white meats," suggests Fourrier. Quite strong on the aftertaste.
Bright crimson. A bit severe. Definitely dry and a bit too drying. (JR)
