Note di degustazione
Based on 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre, the 2009 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvee Du Quet is showing beautifully, with a powerful, rich, yet seamless style. Ripe black cherries, black licorice, roasted garrigue, meat, tapenade, and Provençal notes all emerge from the glass. It's full-bodied, has a deep, layered mid-palate, sweet tannins, and a great finish. I'd say it's drinking at point today, yet it has the density, depth, and balance to evolve gracefully over the coming decade and, I suspect, have a gradual decline thereafter. Drink: 2025-2034.

Rich, ripe, intense and juicy, this lusty, dense wine is packed with fresh, sweet, kirsch, black raspberry, pepper and a hint of black cherry jam. Young, fresh and plush, this palate staining wine was delicious.
(80% grenache and 20% mourvedre): Opaque purple. Powerful aromas of roasted dark fruits, olive, licorice and potpourri. Broad and densely packed, offering ripe blackberry and cassis flavors and a touch of candied flowers. Extremely rich but shows surprising energy on the finish, with the licorice and floral notes echoing. Nothing shy about this wine.
