Note di degustazione
The ruby-colored 1997 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses has a gorgeously floral nose, packed with violets and roses. On the palate, this thick, satin-textured wine bursts forth with powerful and deeply ripe flavors. It is sweet as jam, yet refined, and crammed with red fruit and stone-like nuances. It is opulent, sensual, complex, rich, precise, and possesses a long and supple finish. This sexy, hedonistic wine should be consumed over the next 7-8 years. Superbly complex fruit leads to remarkably elegant, very supple and velvety flavors blessed with obvious class and style. To drink relatively soon as the supple, forward nature of the fruit and flavors renders this easy to enjoy now and while there may be a bit more complexity that develops with time, this is so seductive at present that there really is no good reason to wait much longer if at all. Good deep cherry-red. Bitter cherry, raspberry, flowers and white pepper on the nose. Juicy and stony in the mouth, with lovely delicacy and cut. Flavors of maraschino cherry and spicy oak. More firmly structured, less sweet, more serious than the above. Very fresh for the vintage.
