Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2020-2027, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2020

The 2009 Château De Gironville showed nicely, with a solid sense of elegance and purity to go with medium-bodied richness, silky, light tannins, and attractive notes of ripe black cherries, chocolaty herbs, menthol, and dried flowers. This is one solid, thoroughly enjoyable Haut-Médoc that's drinking at point yet should evolve for another 5-7 years in cold cellars.

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2014-2024, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2017

Deep blackish crimson. Ripe but classy nose – clearly a very ripe vintage. Rich and smooth on palate entry – really rather gorgeous! Edge of tarmacadam but sound freshness on the finish. Very complete. Tannins smothered by fruit. Good acidity. Excellent palate-smothering finish. GV (JR)

Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2012-2017, Robert Parker, Feb 2012

A tasty blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot that came in at 13.5% natural alcohol, this wine displays plenty of cedar wood, loamy soil notes, underbrush and classic black currants and licorice. Well-made, with a supple texture and good fruit, this wine should drink well for 4-5 years.

Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2015-2024, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2011

40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot. Notably deep purplish crimson. Much deeper than most of these wines. Very serious nose indeed with more complexity than most. A hint of undergrowth and an array of dark red fruit flavours. This should develop well. Racy and polished. More than a hint of modernism but nothing exaggerated. VGV (JR)
