(this was still on its lees at the beginning of April and undergoing twice-monthly batonnage Captivating, very fresh aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and spring flowers, with a leesy complexity. Pungent, chewy and fresh, with vibrant, complex flavors of pineapple, honeysuckle, mint and vanillin oak. Brisk acids buffer the 13.5% alcohol. Finishes with a chewy, tactile, slightly phenolic quality and excellent persistence. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc, 30% sauvignon gris, and 5% each semillon and muscadelle.
