Note di degustazione
The 2009 Heru Pinot Noir is from vines planted in granite soils, aged in French oak for 14 months of which 35% is new. It has a reticent nose with light minerally notes mingling with red berry fruit such as cranberry and red currant. The palate is clean and crisp on the entry, but rather lean in the middle. It is a linear, strict Pinot Noir with a slight abrasiveness on the taciturn finish. Drink now-2014. Vina Ventisquero is a well-known Chilean winery that began in 2000. The winery is located in the Maipo Valley and head-winemaker, Felipe Tosso, oversees a wide portfolio that now includes vines from Apalta in Colchagua and Casablanca. Ruby-red. Complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes black raspberry, star anise, vanilla and cola. Silky and sweet, with deep red and dark berry flavors picking up spicy and smoky qualities with air. At once rich and lively, finishing with strong punch and lingering notes of spicecake and candied red fruits. This pinot bears comparison to plenty of high-end examples from California, Oregon, Australia and New Zealand.
