Note di degustazione
Beginning to crack up at the seams, the dark garnet-colored 1983 shows some amber at the edge . The nose shows notes of ashtray and asphalt intermixed with some earth, compost, and dark fruits. A certain mushroomy quality has entered the formula, and the once-sweet fruit seems to be ever-so-slightly becoming drier and the character of the wine more desiccated/attenuated. Drink up. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 12/02.

Extremely well crafted with a firm, polished structure. Grapey, vanilla and chocolate aromas and flavors with a full body and long caressing finish.--The Bordeaux 50. Drink now.James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1994
