Note di degustazione
In a vintage that produced numerous frail, diluted, fragile wines, the 1976 La Lagune is a firmly made, concentrated, successful wine. This medium to dark ruby wine, with only a trace of amber at the edge, has a full-blown bouquet of vanillin oak, grilled nuts, and ripe plums. On the palate, it has an elegant, stylish texture, medium to full body, expansive, sweet, lush fruit, and a heady, but silky finish. Oh, how I wish I had bought more of this wine! Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 12/89.
