Luscious-looking blackish ruby. Strange/interesting smell of putty! Round and bloody somehow. Lots here to chew on. A classic wine from a classic vintage obviously. (JR)

Consistently one of the best of the cru bourgeois wines, this blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc from the Ribeiro-Pelon family is again a big-time winner. Loads of dark fruits, plum, fig, cedar wood and hints of underbrush and forest floor make for a delicious, medium to full-bodied, velvety textured and opulent wine. Drink over the next 5-8 years. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc.
50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc. Not expensive… Quite savoury and meaty and solid. Good solid yeoman stuff. (JR)
Sweet and round and charming but with just a hint of odd sweet oak on the finish. (JR)
