2005 Vosne Romanee Les Suchots

Bright medium ruby. Captivating aromas of blackberry, violet, cocoa powder and spices. Suave on entry, then fine-grained and sappy in the middle, with a ripe note of chocolate and an intriguing saline element. Plush in the middle but with no shortage of energy. This mounts impressively on the back end, finishing with broad, serious tannins and a late note of violet. The longest of these 2005s to this point.
