Note di degustazione
Dense ruby-red color. Superripe aromas of currant and damp earth verge on port-like. Thick and opulent in texture, but with less forthcoming flavors than the Beaux-Monts. A bit musclebound today despite its fat but not angular or rustic. Fairly tannic and tight on the back end. Currently going through an awkward phase.

(my sample was from a new barrel; the ultimate blend will be 50% new oak; this is the first vintage for this wine, from rented vines) Full, bright ruby. Cassis, black raspberry, bitter chocolate and new oak spices on the nose. Penetrating but ample and sweet, with lovely vinosity. Tannins are remarkably creamy for a young Clos Vougeot. Finishes very long and subtle. Offers outstanding potential.
