Punteggio 15.5/20 · Da bere 2006-2010, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2006

Notably deep crimson. Full and sweet on the nose – really rather nice for a 2002 even if not the purest. It seems to have been pumped up somehow – a 2002 on steroids? Fresh drink with a dry finish. (JR)

Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2005-2015, Robert Parker, Apr 2005

This is an unqualified sleeper of the vintage, a beautifully opulent, rich, dense, ruby/purple-colored wine with sweet cassis fruit intermixed with some licorice and resiny notes. Quite full-bodied, pure, with good, sweet fruit covering moderate levels of tannin, this is a beauty and an undeniable bargain for a wine of this quality. In fact, I’m not sure that it’s not even better than my rating. Anticipated maturity: now-2015.

Punteggio 16/20 · Da bere 2006-2012, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2004

Very deep purple. Very full-on, aggressively fruity nose. All upfront pleasure – really rather un-Bordelais. This could be a 2002 for the US market! (JR)

Punteggio 15/20 · Da bere 2008-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2003

Extremely deep blackish purple. Macerated black cherries on the nose. Very cool wine, rather restrained; though every attempt has been made to smooth it all out the overall effect lacks a bit of drama. No high points to the tasting experience. Dry finish and a lack of character (though not smooth texture) in the middle. Hollow. Waiting for something to happen. Needs a little bit more acidity? 18/20 for effort. (JR)
