Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2019-2024, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2019

A vintage that’s now fully mature, yet still drinking nicely for the top cuvées, the 1999 Châteauneuf du Pape Boisrenard reveals a healthy ruby/plum color as well as mature notes of blackcurrants, savory spices, dried earth, tobacco, and a touch of gaminess that develops with time in the glass. Rich, medium to full-bodied, fully mature, and with still present tannins, it’s not going to get better but will certainly continue evolving gracefully going forward. Plan on drinking bottles over the coming 4-5 years.

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2003-2017, Robert Parker, Dec 2001

The saturated ruby/purple-colored 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Boisrenard offers a classy nose of black fruits intermixed with cedar and vanillin (a portion of this cuvee spends time in new oak), followed by powerful, full-bodied, admirably pure flavors. A modern-styled Chateauneuf, it combines its Provencal soul with a forward-thinking, progressive style. It requires 2-3 years of cellaring, and should drink well for 15-16 years.
