1984 Sociando Mallet

Harvest date 2-16 Oct; yield 55.2 hl/ha; vineyard area 27.72 ha. Magnum. Bright ruby. Not especially deep coloured. Some definite decay here on the nose, even in magnum size. A certain sweetness (chaptalisation?) and no great purity. Sort of put together rather than grown, with dusty tannins on the finish. Harsh finish. (JR)
