Intensely sweet ripe cassis overlaid with sweet baking spice. Firm, dark, a little chewy but nicely proportioned and fresh to finish. (JH)

Spicy, full bodied and opulent flavours without any exaggerations. Good sappy dry finish after lots of lip smacking fruit. Lots of depth for the long term and nice, supple but considerable tannins. The finish is a bit coarse and crude though. (JR)
Since being purchased by Bordeaux’s well-known aircraft manufacturer, Dassault has gone from strength to strength. The fruit-forward, supple-textured 2004 offers abundant amounts of plum, black currant, and cherry fruit, medium body, silky tannin, low acidity, and an undeniably charming, sensual style. Drink it over the next decade.
Exceptionally dark. So ripe it's bordering on brett on the nose. Just a little bit lacking freshness for me. And quite dry (oak-derived!) tannins. (JR)
