2005 Tour Seran

Proprietor Jean Guyon, the empire-building visionary of cru bourgeois in the northern Médoc, has fashioned a blend of 65% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A sleeper of the vintage, this wine displays notes of cassis fruit, new saddle leather, spice box and earth. Deep in color and concentrated, it is surprisingly powerful and rich. Drink it over the next decade.
