Note di degustazione
Nose seems off balance with a hint of honeyed apricots overwhelmed by the domineering alcohol. Although this is still a fresh wine, aided by a lovely citrus tea element on the palate, it is a just a touch too heavy and only has medium length

The 2010 de Myrat is missing some cohesion and botrytised fruit on the nose, not as convincing as 2010 Bastor-Lamontagne or Lamothe-Guignard. The palate is better with honey, orange rind, quince and ginger notes, and a touch of spice towards the finish. A quite cohesive Sauternes, though just lacking some depth on the finish. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.
Pale to medium lemon-gold colored, the 2010 de Myrat delivers intense notes of spiced apples, poached pears and manuka honey with a cedar and spice cake undercurrent. The palate is decadently sweet and rich with balancing freshness and a pleasant oiliness texturing the long finish.
Tasted blind. More subtle than the Lamothe-Guignard and more cedary. Marked acidity and that sour/cedar freshness makes it quite distinctive. Very long if not as obviously appealing as Lamothe-Guignard. (JH)
