Note di degustazione
Medium red. Red berries and minerals on the nose. Saline, tactile and chewy; rich and succulent but quite dry, with very good underlying structure. Comes across as quite different in texture today from Mortet's other village bottlings. Finishes with very good breadth and harmonious acidity.

Produced from 45-year old vines, the rustic, black-colored 2001 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe du Dessus reveals jammy blackberry and cassis aromas as well as flavors. This extremely expressive wine displays outstanding grip, a lively balance, loads of fruit, and a long, firm finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2010. Importer: Martine’s Wines, San Raphael, CA; tel. Good red-ruby. Perfumed aromas of currant, game and tar. Silky and gentle, with nicely embedded acids framing the wine's fruit. Concentrated and shapely. There's nothing rustic about this Gevrey. Finishes with very fine tannins and noteworthy length.
