Note di degustazione
Sporting a great nose of white pepper and spices, the 2002 Macon-Milly-Lamartine Clos du Four is fleshy, powerful, and light to medium-bodied. Loads of resin-laced minerals can be found in its well-balanced, deep, expressive character as well as in its long, sappy finish. It should be drunk over the next 4 years. Readers should note that Dominique Lafon farms his Macon vineyards organically and is moving towards converting them to biodynamic viticulture in the near future. Floral nose. Much more minerality than the regular bottling. Tense. (JR)
Fresher, more minerally nose combines lemon, stone, mint, fresh herbs and a hint of vanilla. A step up in intensity from the 2001 version. Dense but juicy, with enticing fruit and mineral flavors; quite perfumed and vibrant in the mouth, and more aromatic on the back end.
