The 2008 Recioto di Soave Classico Le Colombare emerges from the glass with candied apricots, burnt sugar, flowers, sage and honey, all in a medium-bodied style that is highly appealing. Today the 2008 comes across as very young and in need of bottle age. I very much like the way Pieropan achieves richness without excess weight.
