Note di degustazione
The 2008 Fourcas Hosten is deep garnet in hue with slight bricking at the rim. The commendable bouquet offers blackberry, raspberry, cedar and sage; touches of wild mint develop with aeration. The medium-bodied palate delivers fine tannins that frame black fruit laced with dark chocolate and mint. It does feels a bit straitlaced, although it is well balanced and fresh, showing decent grip on the finish. This Listrac is à point , perfect to drink now and over the next 6–8 years.

Transparent crimson, toasty oak then a slightly odd malted flavour on the palate. A bit flat. (JH)
Light and blueish with a weak rim. Hint of sawdust but very frank fruit with some evolution. Lively, punchy fruit with lots of acidity and even a trace of greenness. Not enough selection? Relatively light and simple. (JR)
Lean, austere, dry, and attenuated.
