Note di degustazione
Deep ruby/plum/purple, with more sweetness to its fruit than normal, the 2005 Fourcas Hosten displays minerality, earth, spice, blackcurrants, and touches of oak and forest notes. This medium-bodied wine should continue to drink well for at least a decade or more.

Bright ruby. Medicinal black cherry and mint on the nose. Offers good intensity but today the solid dark fruit flavors come off as rather severe. Finishes with a firm tannic edge that may be more than the mid-palate material can support.
Dark purple velvety look. Rather simple ripe red fruits on the nose but on the palate it is clear that there is very competent oaking and a nice fresh mouthful. Certainly perfectly respectable glass of claret. Appetising, dry finish and nothing overdone. Complete. (JR)
