There is a nice sense of grace to the 2011 La Tour Figeac. Sweetly fruited and fine.

Fresh and lively dark fruit on the nose but very dense and compact on the palate. A wall of tannins makes the finish rather abrupt. The whole is trying terribly hard and just about gets there. (JH)
The 2011 La Tour Figeac boasts a dark ruby/purple color as well as sweet notes of black cherries, black currants, forest floor and flowers. Rich on the attack and mid-palate, and narrowing slightly in the finish, it is a complete, relatively concentrated St.-Emilion that should provide enjoyable and complex drinking over the next 10-12+ years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.
Easygoing, drinkable fruit – practises restraint without losing ripeness. Good tannic texture, like polenta. Good everyday fare (though I doubt it's an everyday price!). (RH)
