Peppery, leafy cassis, a bit dusty. Dry, smooth and quite soft, with just enough grip for the fruit depth. Finishes a touch dry. (JH)
Good full ruby-red. Spicy, aromatic nose offers blackberry, camphor, toast and exotic woodsmoke. Supple, spicy and easygoing, with moderate density but attractive sweetness and juiciness to the middle palate. Finishes with ripe, building tannins and sweet fruit. In a distinctly easygoing style.
Complex aromas of greengage, citrus and some spice from the oak. Inviting. Very dry, very crisp, just balanced. Quite long but this may just be the high acidity. Not much flesh, Bit of a hair shirt wine. Not 100% sure why anyone needs to sacrifice fruit to get to know this… (JR)
