2010 Chateauneuf du Pape

Bright ruby. Exotic, smoke-accented aromas of raspberry, cherry and potpourri, with Asian spice adding complexity. Juicy, penetrating red and dark berry flavors show very good energy and appealing sweetness, with tangy acidity adding lift. Finishes seamless and long, with very good clarity and lingering spiciness.

Checking in as a blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah that is aged all in concrete tank, the 2010 Domaine de Cristia Châteauneuf-du-Pape is always a delicious, fruit forward Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and 2010 is no exception. Loaded with gorgeous blackberry styled fruit, roasted garrigue, hot stone, and licorice aromas and flavors, this full-bodied, mouth-filling wine has a seamless, polished texture, no hard edges, and plenty of length. Already delicious, it will shine for a decade or more.
